FAQ
How long will it takes to repair my vehicle?
Your estimator can give you an estimate of the time it will take to complete the repairs to your vehicle. However, your estimator has provided you a schedule he/she believes to be reasonable barring unforeseen problems (usually back ordered parts, hidden damage or insurance company delays). The estimator will advise you of the specific problem and provide you with a new schedule.
Can I get a ride home when I drop off my car?
Yes, we would be happy to provide this service to you. We want each customer's visit to be a positive experience and will work diligently towards that goal. We also provide a pickup and delivery service within the city.
How can I get a rental car?
If you need a rental car, we would be happy to assist you to make the necessary arrangements. The rental car company will come to our shop and pick you up. Insurance companies will only pay for a rental car if you have that option on your policy or if you are the claimant. Check your policy and/or call your insurance company to find out if you have rental coverage and what your specific limitations are.
How will I know when my car is done?
You will be notified when your vehicle is ready to be picked up. Feel free to call 408-998-0337 or e-mail your advisor during the repair process if you have questions or concerns.
Is there a warranty on the repairs to my vehicle?
Yes. Eddie's Auto Body guarantees all repairs that we did.
Do I have to pay a deductible?
The amount of deductible that you will be responsible for is determined by your insurance policy. If you carry broad collision, and you were not at fault, your insurance company most likely will waive your deductible. Insurance companies determine fault by your account of the accident when you make the claim, and by reviewing the accident report filed with the police department. If you aren't sure about your deductible, you can call your agent and he can tell you whether your insurance company has waived your deductible or whether you will be responsible to pay this when you pick up your vehicle.
Who do I pay my deductible to?
If you have a deductible, it will be your responsibility to pay us when you pick up your vehicle. If you aren't sure about your deductible, you can call your agent and he can tell you whether your insurance company has waived your deductible or whether it will be your responsibility.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all types of payment like cash, check, credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.
The insurance company wants to send me to a shop of their choice. What are my options?
By law, you have the right to choose the repair shop you would like to repair your vehicle. We will work with any reputable insurer to ensure the quick and efficient repair of your vehicle and processing of your claim.
Do I need more than one estimate?
No. Repair estimates are very standardized. Most reputable, licensed shops utilize a computerized repair database to produce accurate damage estimates. A large difference between estimates could mean that the lower one is calling for parts other than new factory original or has missed a great deal of damage that will have to be addressed during the repair process. We want you to be fully informed about the parts and procedures we will use to repair your vehicle. We will work closely with your insurer to repair your vehicle quickly, safely and cost-effectively.
